About DropAlert

DropAlert is an independent tool that monitors selected public Navy Federal mortgage rates and explains the limits of that signal.

Why this site exists

Mortgage rates can move while an existing borrower is busy living life. DropAlert was built to make one repetitive task easier: watching selected public Navy Federal rate rows and notifying a subscriber when the estimated signal may be worth checking.

The site combines a free monitoring tool with educational material about advertised rates, discount points, break-even estimates, and the difference between a public signal and a loan-specific decision.

Independent and deliberately limited

DropAlert is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Navy Federal Credit Union. It does not access member accounts, make lending decisions, negotiate rates, or receive compensation from Navy Federal. Only Navy Federal can determine whether a borrower and loan satisfy its current No-Refi Rate Drop terms.

We label estimates and publish the methodology because a precise-looking number can otherwise create false confidence. If the public signal crosses a threshold, the appropriate next step is to ask Navy Federal for the loan's Eligible Reduced Rate and current eligibility status.

How the site is supported

Email monitoring is free. DropAlert plans to support operating costs with Google AdSense on long-form educational pages. Ads are kept off the interactive mortgage-details and alert-enrollment screen, and advertisers do not receive the mortgage details submitted for email alerts.

Advertising does not determine the products covered, the rate estimate, or the conclusions in the guides. The privacy policy explains the separate data practices for alerts, analytics, and advertising.
